Autumn/Winter 2006

New Year's Eve Medieval Extravaganza

Over 50 people turned up dressed in all sorts of costumes, from Kings, Knights, and Princesses, to Monks, Executioners, and Peasants. The hog roast stuffed most people suitably, and much champagne was drunk at midnight, accompanied by some spectacular fireworks. Not only was the evening very enjoyable, but it raised plenty of money for club funds - thanks to all who attended!

Captain's Report Autumn 2006

Northwich Small Boats Head - 4th Nov. Many thanks to Faith Murray and her committee for another very successful event, and not forgetting all members who volunteered their help.

Winter training is now well under way in all the squads. Miles and miles on the water building up strength and stamina for the Head Race season to come. All the squads have gained wins already at Chester, Runcorn, Agecroft, and notably our own Head Race. Time trials are held every month. Ergo training is key to building up fitness and endurance. Monthly 5000 metre tests are encouraged in all the Senior squads to show personal improvement and to help coaches put together the fastest crews.

Concept 2 Indoor Rowing Championships at Birmingham - 12th Nov.
